Moesly SeaCraft 25' Seafari - History

In 1969 Moesly designed at 25', very similar to the 20' Seafari, but it was to be more of a "muscle boat" with a lot of speed in rough water.  At the same time, he also designed and patened a new automatic ballast system for the 25' to help stability on hi-deadrise boats.  For family cruising or fishing, the design was suitable to easily change to a lesser deadrise and if desired, a shorter boat or a center console for fishermen.

Prior to his departure in 1970, the boat had been designed, but none of the lofting or tooling was done where Moesly will often make his fine-tune adjustments to the design.

The boat did hit the production line during the 70's, with modifications to the design and without the ballast system.

Prior to this design, Moesly had designed a 25' racing boat in 1967, "My Racing Machine".  There is no connection between these two designs.
