Moesly SeaCraft 27' SeaMaster
Back to the drawing board in 1967, Moesly brought out the 27', a flybridge cruiser with a fully accommodating cabin with bunks, head and galley. The need for a larger boat had become evident as the company was growing.
The back-lash on stern drives for larger boats curtailed sales on this ocean-going boat. The backup power of twin Chrysler engines with Vee drives was mixed when the first 3 of the 4 Vee drives failed. The alternative was to easily lengthen the hull for installation of direct drive inboards. The original hull plans has already incorporated the possibility of lenthening the hull up to 30'. However, it was the decision of the new owner, not to make this change.
